Chapter 7 *Levi's POV*

Out of the blue, I felt a storming punch against my face, followed by agonistic burning pain. I threw myself up, waving my hands infront of me, struggling to open my eyes. Blinded by the sunlight, I glanced at Hanji, who was steaming with anger.
''Hanji!? Are you completly insane!!?'' I asked, covering my red cheek. I, then, glanced at the empty corner of my bed. She wasn't there… It's morning already…
''_________!'' I shouted.
''You moron! How can you sleep at a time like this!!'' Hanji was shouting at me. I lowered my head, emberesed.
''Where's _______…?'' I asked, afraid of what she might reply, ''Why didn't she wake me up?''
''Because she's as much of an idiot as you are!'' Hanji was screaming her heart out infront of me. ''She planned on leaving, without letting you know.''
''W-what? Why would she do that!?'' I barely knew what was going on and for some reason my chest felt heavier than stone.
''She broke down infront of me…'' Hanji whispered.
''That idiot!'' I shouted, crawling off the bed. Ignoring everything, I ran towards the door.
Hanji stood frozen, staring down. Was it too late?
I ran outside, pushing everyone out of my way. I was reaching into the dark, stumbling over my own feet. Running as fast as I could, I tried to hide my face from everyone staring at me.
''______, please don't be gone yet…''
I crashed into the wall infront of me, pulling back, gasping for air, holding tightly to the rough wall infront of me. My forehead was bleeding, I could feel it drop over my left eye.
''Levi…? What are you doing?'' I heard someone say behind me. They stepped closer to me, turning me around. It was Erwin.
''Levi you're bleeding! What the hell are you doing?'' I just stared at the floor. My whole being was shivering.
''You're a fool if you're giving up like this. They're still at the gate.'' Erwin said, gripping my shoulders roughly, shaking me out of my dazzed state. He,then, pushed me harshly towards the direction of the gate. Without any breath left, I turned my head to Erwin, nodding slightly. Never in my life, have I been this confused. Like a mere child, lost in an unknown place. Searching a way back home… She was my home.
I finally reached the gate, seeing cadets and commanders on their horses.
''I'm not too late!''
Then I glanced over to find the (h/c) headed girl, curled up in herself so tightly. Her whole being shivering.
''Cadets are you ready!?'' One of the commanders demanded.
''NO!'' I shouted, sprinting for one last time. ''________!!!'' I shouted her name from the top of my lungs.
She turned her head towards me. As our eyes meet, tears ran down her face. She barely believed what she saw. She must have already given up on me. I couldn’t hear, but I saw her lips move, whispering my name. She jumped off her horse, sprinting towards me.
When, she was finaly at my reach, I wrapped my whole being around her, so tightly, it almost smothered her. I felt her sobbs against my neck.
''Idiot…'' I whispered, reaching for her head.
''I-I'm sorry Levi!'' She never sounded more desperate than at this exact moment. I heard all the remorse inside her voice. She was breaking inside my embrace, but with all the love I wrapped in her, she began to heal. She pulled back, slightly, taking a glimpse of my bleeding forehead.
''L-Levi, are you alright?'' She asked, her voice shivering. I reached for my scar. It was pretty painful, along with my cheeck, from Hanji's punch.
''Don't worry about me, silly. Though, this could have been spared if you'd only wake me up…'' I said, reaching for her hand, holding it tightly in mine. She looked away, ashamed.
''I-I'm really sorry…'' She murmured.
''Stop apologizing.'' I whispered, leaning closer and closer to her, until I felt her breath crashing against my face. Her tear drowned eyes fixed on me, dazzingly mesmerizing, causing me to melt into them. My lips claimed hers, pulling her body onto me. I wrapped all my love in her. Tears rushed down her face, mixing with mine somewhere along the way. The kiss felt as if it went on for eternities. I knew all eyes were piercing us, but I didn't give a damn. The moment was perfect, but I knew I had to
let go of her and I was afraid to do so. I gently grabbed her shoulders.
''________… there's nothing in this world that can seperate us, I won't ever let anything stand in our way. Think back of us and let it give you strenght. Everynight you'll look up at the stars, know I'll be looking too, thinking of you.'' I took a pause, breathing heavily, holding back from bursting in tears, ''No matter what, I know nothing can stop you, there's nothing you can't defeat. Even if I'm not there. You're strong. Stronger than anyone I know. You need to promise me, you'll never let anyone take away the flame inside of you! You're never alone ________, never. And I'll be right here, waiting for you, because I trust you.''
Just after, my voice cracked. I wasn’t able to hold it in me anymore. No one in this world is strong enough, to go through this, to carry such heavy burden. Not even humanity’s strongest. Right now, I felt weak and helpless.
‘’I’ll never stop fighting,_______! Becouse I plan to make a world worth living in, a place for us… to be free. Becouse, ________, you are my strength!’’
________'s tears seemed like crystals in her eyes. She was holding tightly to my hand, whiping her eyes with the other one. She calmed down a bit, but I felt how hurt she was inside… and I couldn’t do anything to take this pain away from her.
''________… I love you. I always will.'' I whispered into her ear. She shivered, wrapping her arms around my neck, grabbing onto me tightly, whiping loudly.
''Levi!'' She gasped out, beneath her breath, reaching for my cheeks, she kissed me tenderly for one last time.
''I love you too, Levi. I love you… I love you more than I can ever bare to handle. I love you more than anything in this world. There are no words that can fall into place, that could describe this feeling in me. I'll stand strong with my last strenght, just to return to you. Even if the world's turning against us, we'll defeat it all….''
''And make this place worth living in.'' I continued. She smiled bitterly to me.
Erwin stepped closer to us, revealing a crying Hanji right behind him. Only then, I could see the faces of all the other 104th cadets. Erwin's hand reached for my shoulder. ''Levi, it's time…'' he spoke quietly, stepping to _______, taking her back to  the gate.
''I love you, Levi!'' ________ shouted, turning back to me, crying.
''________!'' I scream behind her, trying to move closer, but Hanji was holding me back.
Erwin helped _________ on her horse. She turned back, looking at me desperately, whispering something, so soundless, no one but me heard. The commander gave a sign, then Erwin pushed _________'s horse into galop, followed by everyone else.
''_________!!!'' I shrieked for one last time, she turned back to me, even though almost out of sight, I heard a faint scream, calling my name.
I broke down, my feet couldn't hold me anymore. My chest was heavy. I was cold. I was alone. The light that burned inside me was nearly wipped out. All turned to stone.
Tears fall on my palms, caressing my skin gently.
''_________… I love you.''
