United in Eternity [Levi X Reader] Chapter 2

Chapter 2  *Reader's POV*

''_________!? Where did Levi go of to?'' Petra asked, piercing me with her stare.
''He has something to finish and he'll be back as soon as he's done.'' I replied, cold, trying to avoid talking to Levi's group.
''What is so special about this girl? Why is she favoured by the Corporal?'' They whispered to one another behind my back, thinking I couldn't hear them.
''Ignore them, ________. They're just scared.'' Eren said, catching up to me. He smiled brightly.
''I'm glad to see you're alright, Eren! I didn't see you for such a long time.'' I replied, returning his warm smile.
''Same…'' Eren tried to continue, bot got interupted by Petra's shriek. I turned my head, and froze in shock. Blood splattered on my face and awoke me from my trans. The female titan was following us again. They failed to stop her… they… LEVI!?
Was he alright? Is he hurt? My head started spinning, I could feel  cold sweat running down my back. I was dizzy, my body was shaking, my blood stopped pumping causing my heart to freeze into the moment.
''WHAT SHOULD WE DO!?'' Auruo scream to Erd, who was just as clueless.
''Keep going!'' I turned screaming at them
''We don't take orders from you, brat!'' Auruo's tongue poisonly spoke against me.
''We need to protect Eren, don't we? Isn't that our mission? Corporal told you to trust him, just as he trusts every each of you! So why can't you just do the same!?'' I scream back at them, loosing my patience. They were panicking. I couldn't afford to panic now. I had to do something about this.
''She's right.'' Erd said, striking his hooks and wires into the tallest tree,  pulling himself up. ''________, you and Eren keep on going, don't turn back no matter what. Get Eren out of here!'' Erd spoke. I nodded, hitting Eren's horse so it speed up and  caught upto him.
''Petra! Auruo! Gunter! We fight.''
I could see their eyes stained in fear, but they bravely lifted themselves in the air, making their way towards the femal titan.

''Keep your eyes on the road.'' I ordered to Eren.
''_________! I… T-They're loosing!'' Eren said mesmerized. I could hear their screams, I heard the splashes of blood, the crashes of lifeless bodies. I knew what was happening behind us, and Eren's eyes followed the bloodbath, his face covered in horror.
''Eren. Don't let their sacrifice go in vain.'' I spoke quietly, my voice shook from pain.
''S-She!! That bitch! She killed all of them! My comarades! SHE KILLED THEM!''
''EREN!! Get ahold of yourself, NOW! We'll mourn once we're back behind the walls.''
''I'LL KILL YOU FOR THIS! I'LL KILL YOU…!'' Eren was pissed, almost unrecognisable. I tried to reach for him, but before I could, Eren bit his hand, following a large blast, throwing me into a tree. With blured eyes, I could see another titan runing at the Female titan, attacking her.
''EREN!!'' I shrieked from the top of my lungs. I pulled out my swords and hooked myself, letting the wind mess my hair, pulling it out from the ponytail I made before. I tried following Eren, but he was too fast. I must have dislocated my shoulder before, since it was aching pretty badly.
-Eren you moron what the hell are you doin!?-
I finaly reached the two fighting titans, the sight of it was brutal and bloody. I looked around, I couldn't see anyone, anywhere. A bunch of corpses were pillared in the bushes.
Erd? And… Gunter? They're all dead! Auruo and Petra too… The strongest team was wiped out. Wait…? Where is Levi? Is Levi still alive? Is he hurt?
-Please be alright, Levi.-

Both titans were burned out, healing. The female titan couldn’t attack since her hands needed to heal first! It was the perfect opportunity to slice her neck. With full speed I swung through the air, aiming my target perfectly. Suddenly wires were fired straight infront of me. What the hell is this? We'll crash at this point!! When I was already sure, I was going to crash into the person once we reach the crossing point, I felt strong hands wrapping themselves around my hips, pulling me close into a tight embrace. Fastly, I unclip the hooks from my 3DMG so I didn't get pulled away.
I felt ground beneath my feet, I tried to catch my balance but ended up crashing back into my savior's chest.
''________! Are you alright? Are you hurt?'' I heard an all too familiar voice, screaming at me. He grabbed my shoulders and started shaking me. My blured vision cleared itself, allowing me to face the raven-black haired figure infront of me, he's gray eyes fixed onto mine.
''L-Levi?'' I mumbled, ''I-I mean..C-Corpor…'' I tried to gather my mind, but it was useless, I was still dizzy.
''Don't speak.'' Levi pushed my back on the ground, ''Stay here, I'll be back soon.'' He said clearly, and threw me a water bottle, before he dissapeared towards the two fighting titans.
After a few minutes, I regained my consciousness fully. I wanted to make my way, to look for Levi, but I remembered how clearly he told me to wait for him. I didn't move, but I kept my eyes focused on the two fighting titans. Suddenly I could clearly see Mikasa infront of me, followed by Levi. The Female titan grabbed Mikasa's wires tight. Swiftly I threw one of my blades at the wire, it ripped and Mikasa landed on her knees infront of me. After her, Levi made his way to the ground, near us.
''Nice move, _______.'' He said, sharing a quick but tender smile. Everytime he stroke a smile for me, or called my name, I couldn't help but to feel this… weird feeling of comfort and warmth. I helped Mikasa stand up, noticing her bloody knees, from the rough landing. I, then, turned to Levi.
''What's happening there?'' I asked.
''They still seem to be fighting. I found this idiot here, trying to interfer.'' Levi said, annoyed, striking an angry look at Mikasa.
''You must be really stupid to think you can fight her, while she's able to harden her skin!''
''Harden her skin?'' I asked.
''Yes, the Female titan has the ability to harden her skin, protecting herself. Untill she has that ability, we don't stand a chance at all.''
''I see… '' I thought to myself. ''She freed herself from the traps, didn't she?'' I continued to ask. Levi just nodded, carefully observing the two fighting titans.
''Speaking of it. Who encouraged Eren to turn into a titan?'' Levi asked, calmly. I knew Levi already had an idea what happened.
''I-I'm sorry. I tried to stop him… He just… He saw them…'' I couldn't say it. I just couldn't tell Levi that the rest of his team is dead.
''I saw their corpses. Did that trigger him?'' Levi asked, calm and quiet. How was he able to be so calm? How didn't he just loose his mind. I nodded, trying to stay calm aswell. ''I'm really sorry, Corporal.'' I stumbled over my own breath.
''I'm glad you're alright.'' He added, quietly, but clearly. His words got a clear hit directly into my heart. I stood still, numb. No, no time for this now. I shook myself out of it and stepped closer to Levi.
''We need to think of something.'' I said, eagerly. Levi hummed in acknowledgement. Suddenly the female titan stroke Eren down and kicked his head off, biting the upper part of his neck off, tearing Eren out of the titan body, swallowing him. She ran off.
We stood there, as if we were hit by lightning. None could believe their eyes. Mikasa then started running of, calling for Eren, swinging behind the Female titan.
''Gahhh… That girl is an utter idiot!'' Levi cursed.
''Let her be my problem, I'll try to stop her, you stop the titan.'' I said in reply. Levi looked at me, not sure what to think of it. And nodded, agreeing to my plan.
''But be careful.'' Levi added. We flew off behind Mikasa and the Female titan.
